    French Intervention 1863: France 20 c. blue used on 1863 cover paying the Soldier's concessionary rate by French ship to Lyons, France, tied by dotted anchor lozenge in black. Octagonal "CORRESP. D'ARMEES / VERA CRUZ" datestamp (Salles fig. 1334) at left (June 17) in black. Cover shaved at base and flap missing, but with Paris and Lyon (July 19) cds's. Scarce. Signed Calves.
