    1822/45: Covers (3), all to France with 1822 cover written in Port au Prince to Bordeaux, carried outside the mails and struck with oval framed "Forwarded by / Hottinger & Co. / Havre" cachet in black and "74 / LE HAVRE" handstamp in red; 1845 cover from the same correspondence to Bordeaux with British P.O. "JACMEL" cds in black (April 24) and "Colonies / &c. Art 12" in red; 1845 entire letter from Cayes to Nantes forwarded agent notation in manuscript on reverse in Jacmel with British P.O. "JACMEL" cds in black (July 25) and "Colonies / &c. Art 12" in red. A scarce group. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
