    1886/95: Engraved 1 c. blue horizontal pair, 2 c. yellow-brown and 6 c. lilac used on 1899 cover to St. John's, Newfoundland in combination with perforated "VIA PUERTO BARRIOS - NEW ORLEANS" deep blue label, all tied by "GUATEMALA / 1" circular handstamps in violet with datestamp below (Sept 23). Reverse with New Orleans, Boston and St. Johns (Oct 12) cds's. Minor corner fault at upper right but a most attractive and scarce cover to an unusual destination. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
