    Italian Post Office 1863: Italy 40 c. carmine, two examples used on 1872 registered cover from Alexandria to Rome tied by dotted "234" obliterators with framed "RACCOMANDATO" handstamp and scarce key-hole "ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO/ POSTE ITALIANE / CONSEGNE" datestamp at lower left (July 2) in black. Somewhat aged patina but fine. Signed Colla.
