    1855/59: Little archive of 3 envelopes (all with contents) perhaps from a gold digger to his father in Switzerland. Two envelopes are from ONTONAGON, the cancel on the envelopes says 'ADVENTURE MICH' of which one with as much as 5x TWELVE CENTS Washington,  two pairs and a single (Scott 17). The third 'MINNESOTA MINE MICH'. All show different frankings, all addressed to Grellingen bei Basel Canton Bern (now the region has been moved to the canton of 'Basel Land').
