    Recess by De La Rue 1897 (July 17): De La Rue "Appendix A", dated "17th July 1897" at top, with the Rupee set of eight values to 50 r. complete in issued colours, perf. 14, with each stamp complete except for the Duty Plate and each stamp with the value handpainted in as close to the issued colour as possible; the Appendix Sheet halved for better display and annotated at base "App'd LM". The set was approved on July 22, 1897. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 2316.
