    Usage of Italian stamps as precursors in San Marino 1867 (Aug 31): Entire letter from San Marino to Paris, bearing Regno 1866 Torino printing 40 'rosa carminio' (Sassone Regno T20), tied by grill "S Mno" handstamp in black, superb "REBUBBLICA DI S. MARINO" despatch cds in blue, "P.D." and French "ITALIE 4 SEPT 67 LANSLEBOURG" entry cds in red alongside. Reverse with TORINO transit cds in black. An exceptional usage to France. Cert.
