    1864 (Feb 25): Double rate registered Envelope from Argevia to Roma, bearing 1863 DLR printing 5 c. 'grigio verde', 10 c. 'ocra arancio', 15 c. 'celeste chiaro' and 40 c. 'rosa carminio', four fine and fresh examples, tied by "ARGEVIA MARCHE" despatch cds, clear information strike and framed RACCOMANDATO handstamp alongside. Reverse with ambulant, FANO, SENIGALLIA and NARNI transit as well as "DIREZIONE DI ROMA" arrival (Feb 29) cds's. Correct franking with twice 15 c. postage plus 40 c. registration surtaxe, the receiver had to pay '8' bajocchi for the part of the journey beyond the Papal border.
