    1902 (April 9): De La Rue Colour Trials for the Edward VII 1903 issue but utilising Queen Victoria 10 s. designs, prepared for the proposed £1 value, two examples, imperforate on thick card: printed in green & purple-brown and in grey & green; fresh and fine.rnNote: The Queen Victoria 1901 set did not contain a £1 value thus the need for the above Trials, the Colour Trials executed for the Victorian issue utilised the ½d. value.rnProvenance: First ex collections Porter and Whitfield; Second ex collection Col.
