    Chalons. Recess by Perkins Bacon 1855 (Aug 17): Chalon 1 d. carmine, wmk. Large Star, an unused example of lovely rich colour, margins just shaved to very fine on two sides, tiny inclusion at upper right, unused without gum. Not unattractive, a very scarce stamp unused. Certs. APS (1997), Ceremuga (2016) Gi = £ 1'200.
