    Pondichery 1872/77: Cérès 25 c. blue, two single examples with margins all round, used on 1880 entire letter to Marseille endorsed "per Bombay & Brindisi" tied by "Inde / Pondichery" despatch cds's (May 12). Carried on the P&O steamer "Mongolia" from Bombay via  Aden and Suez, with circular "Col. Fr. V Brind / A Mod" (May 31) in red (Salles fig. 1893) and arrival of the following day on reverse.
