    1857/58: Falsi d'epoca, Imitazioni di Milano 15 c. red, a fine and fresh example with good to large margins all round, tied by "MILANO 8 / 3" (1858) cds to entire letter (signs of humidity), directed to Mantova, reverse with arrival cds of the next day and distribution cachet. A rare usage of this sought after forgery made to defraud the postal administration, accepted by the postal administration. The cover was however taxed with '6' kreuzer as Mantova was already in the second rayon and the addressee had to pay the missing three kreuzer plus additional three kreuzer zutaxe. From the Habsburg collection, signed Giulio Bolaffi (1939), Emilio & Enzo Diena, Raybaudi; cert. Ferchenbauer (2012) Sassone = € 12'500 / Ferchenbauer = € 7'500.
