    Provisional 'Cheque' Issue 1898 (March 11): Provisional 1 d. vermilion & grey-blue, Setting I, an unused horizontal pair, sheet marginal at base, each with variety "Without Initials on Reverse", vertical continuous lines at left and right shaved, unused without gum. A great rarity with just 480 stamps issued - this possibly from a Proof stage of the printing. An outstanding and rare multiple. Signed A. Diena Gi = £ 16'000+.
