    Overprinted on India at the Zanzibar Gazette 1895/96: Local 'Chambers' cover to Mombasa, the so-called "First Day after Transfer", franked by the four available values from the first consignment of this issue, with 1 a. plum showing variety "Brit1sh" for "British" and marginal examples of the ½ a. blue-green, 2 a. 6 p. yellow-green and a 2 a. blue; all tied by MOMBASA squared circle datestamps (Nov 11, 1895) in black.
