    1874/1880: 1kr brown/ 50kr reddish-brown, eight so called "Friedlsche Essays", on watermarked paper. The values covered are 1kr brown, 2kr yellow, 3kr green, 5kr pastel,10kr blue, 15kr black, 25kr emerald and 50kr reddish-brown.  The essays show some damage, with particularly the 50kr cut close and heavy embossing splitting the paper. Rare.
