    Surcharged by De La Rue on GB 1890 (May 23): 4 a. on 5 d. dull purple & blue, a used horizontal pair, the first stamp from the second vertical row, showing "B" over "S" in EAST variety, used on 1895 registered cover to Whitfield King in Ipswich, tied by MOMBASA code A circular datestamps (March 15). Reverse with Ipswich arrival cds (April 5). A fine and rare cover, just 130 stamps can exist with the variety and no more than 20 first covers from this correspondence are recorded.
