    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1859 (April 23): 8 d. brown on white paper, wmk. Star, imperforate, a used example of fine rich colour, margins ample to large with trace of adjoining stamp at right, on small piece with 1857 2 d. turquoise-blue with large even margins, lightly cancelled by barred obliterator in black. A rare and most appealing piece. Cert. RPSL (1972) Gi = £ 1'500+.
