    British Post Office 1847: Large part cover from Nelson to Halifax endorsed "via Sydney" at top, prepaid with "2d." in red manuscript, struck with fine "♚  / PAID AT WELLINGTON - NEW ZEALAND" in red with WELLINGTON / NEW ZEALAND despatch cds (Nov. 3) in black on reverse. Charged '1/-' due on arrival with London cds in red (May 9, 1848) and Halifax arrival in blue. Flaps missing but not unattractive Gi = £ 350.
