    British Post Office 1861 (May 26): Entire letter from Arecibo to New York with oval "Vias Company / Puerto Rico" Forwarding Agent cachet at right in blue, prepaid '1/-' in red manuscript and mailed with fair "♚ / PAID AT SAN JUAN PORTO RICO" in red. Reverse with San Juan despatch cds in black (May 27) and mailed via Jamaica with KINGSTON transit (June 3). New York "Steamship / 10" applied on arrival (June 24). An interesting routing Scott A120 = $1'000 / Gi = £ 650.
