    Ebenezer Bacon / Charles Whiting 1838c.: Ebenezer Bacon & Son, Banknote and General Machinagraphists, Chalk Farm Road, London (established in 1810) advertising Plate BU (217 x 232 mm.) showing numbered samples of engine turning engraved backgrounds in black with #1546 on the sheet similar to the scrollwork used at the base of the 1 d. pink envelope. Slight soiling but scarce and most unusual.
