    1819 (July 27): Entire letter from Port Louis to Perth, Scotland endorsed "Single Sheet" struck on despatch with fair but very scarce "MAURITIUS / PACKET LETTER" oval handstamp in black (July 27). Carried by the "Cerberus" via the Cape with London transit (Nov 25) and arrrival in red (Nov 28) and rated at 1/7 d. in manuscript on arrival (not including the Scottish 'Wheel Tax' Additional ½ d.) with a Packet rate of 4 d. Sea rate, plus inland rate from London to Perth of 1/3 d. to pay. Backstamped at Aberfeldy. A rare entire.
