    THE MISS ARABELLA SHORE COVERrnLithographed by Thomas Ham 1850: 1 d. red-brown, imperforate, Second State of the Die and 3 d. bright blue, in a horizontal strip of three showing the Interpanneau margin between second and third stamps (Types 4-5-1), tiny scissor cut in margin between the first two stamps, used examples with just shaved to large margins all round, on 1850 double rate entire letter headed "Glenmona 7th June 1850" and endorsed "via Sydney" to Beckenham, Kent, all cancelled by "23 / V" Butterfly handstamps of Burn Bank in black. "Burn Bank / Port Phillip" and Melbourne transit (June 17) datestamps on reverse and oval "PAID SHIP LETTER / ♚ / SYDNEY" in red (June 25). Paid 10d. on despatch (double the 2 d. inland rate and Ship Fee of 6d and charged '1/4d.' due to pay (twice the 8d. Ship Letter charge) with London arrival cds (Nov 25) and docketing of receipt on obverse "Received Nov 26, 1850". Illustrated in "The Stamps of Victoria" by Geoff Kellow RDP on colour plate 2.
