1839 (July 31): Official entire letter endorsed O.H.M.S. mailed within Sydney and redirected to Bathurst, struck with octagonal framed "5 / O'CLOCK" handstamp in red denoting following day delivery and handstruck '"2" (pence) for local rate in black.On redirection the "2" deleted in manuscript and re-rated at '9d.' due in manuscript for the 80 to 120 miles rate. Two vertical file folds do not detract from a rare and most attractive entire.rnProvenance: Collection A.
