    1866: 4 r. brown-red, a fine horizontal strip of three in a rich deep shade, position 89-91 on the sheet, used on archive dated 1872 refolded cover to Ambato in combination with single 1 r. yellow with large margins all round, cancelled by "Latacunga" datestamps (Feb 1) in black. Manuscript "26 oz." at top, slight file fold not detracting from the appearance of a fine and very rare cover bearing an especially fine multiple of the 4 reales.
