    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1851/55: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) brownish-red on blued paper, a used example with ample to good margins all round, used on 1854 cover to Paris endorsed 'Paid', lightly tied by "1" numeral in black. Reverse with 'Trinidad' double arc cds (March 11) and single ring datestamp; obverse with London transit cds (April 1) and oval PD in red below manuscript "1/8 + 10d = 2s. 6 d." in red ink. Calais transit and Paris arrival (April 2) on reverse of a most attractive cover. Cert. BPA (2020).
