1883: Page from the De La Rue archives headed "Dominica Postage Stamps / Existing and proposed Schemes of Colours", with existing colours at left showing ½ d. olive-yellow and 4 d. blue imperforate, 1 d. pale lilac perf. 12½, the 2½ d. red-brown perf. 14, 6 d. green perf. 12½ and 1 s. magenta perf. 12½ - this last annotated "This colour cannot be improved upon". Second column with perforated 14 examples of the proposed new colours all without Duty Plates and as chosen for the 1886 issue, annotated "Proposed colours, being those established by the International Postal Convention for these Duties". Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 2669.
