Typeset at the Office of the 'Royal Gazette', Georgetown 1851: Cottonreel 12 c. black on pale blue, Type C on medium wove paper, a used cut square example with large to huge margins on all sides, variety "2" of "12" with straight foot clearly showing with the initials "EDW" (Wight) and cancellation leaving the variety clear, lightly cancelled, typical slight thins not affecting the remarkably beautiful appearance of this great rarity. A wonderful stamp and arguably the finest known single example in this shade. Cert.
