    1866: 4 a. green, Die I, a used example on 1874 opened for display cover endorsed "via Bombay" addressed to a passenger on the "Iraouady" French Paquebot care of the Messageries Impériales Agent in Aden, tied by "Tellichery" duplex (July 13) in black. Struck on arrival with fine "ADEN STEAMER POINT" cds's (July 20, July 25) and framed POSTAGE DUE in black. Readdressed to Marseilles (Aug 8) from Aden via Brindisi and passenger still unfound: INCONNU A L'APPEL / MASRSEILLE / DE LA 2EME BRIGADE applied in red (and first attempt with same in black) with handstruck '24' décimes charge mark in black and rare framed "REEXPEDIE / TAXE ETRANGERE (1 Fr.) / TAXE FRANCAISE (1 Fr 40c.) in red. Returned to sender (Aug 14) and struck on arrival Dead Letter Office cachets of Bombay (Oct 28) and Madras (Oct 31). A fascinating and remarkable cover with many seldom encountered handstamps.
