1865: 8 p. mauve on white, 2 a. orange and 1868 8 a. rose, Die II on 1871 entire letter from Madras to Nantes endorsed "Via Brindisi" tied by octagonal "Madras / 1" duplex (May 23) and OBC (Oriental Bank Corporation) cachet. Carried on the new Brindisi route (from 21 December 1870) with circular "POS. AN. V. SUEZ / AM. A. MARSEILLE" entry marking in red (May 28) and charged "4" décimes handstruck in black for a letter under 10 grams. Slight soiling of no significance, a scarce usage.
