1840: Mulready 1 d. wrapper, a used example, stereo A27, mailed from London to Paris with manuscript additional prep-payment "10" (pence) at top left, struck on despatch with red Maltese Cross and "PAID" London datestamp (May 28) and oval framed "P.F." in red. Circular "Angl. / Calais" entry marking in red (May 30) where charged '15' décimes due to pay in manuscript.
