    1864 (Dec 1): Double rate lettersheet from Messina to London, bearing 1863 DLR 60 c. light lilac, a single adhesive and a horizontal strip of three, fresh and fine, tied by three strikes of numeral '16' grill obliterator with framed "P.D." handstamp in black and LONDON arrival (Jan 11) cds in red alongside. Light horizontal file fold, not distracting from this appealing franking. Sassone = € 870.
