    1859: 5 gr. rose-carmine in a horizontal pair, positions 46-47 from plate I, pos. 46 with retouche, a fine and fresh multiple with good to large margins, tied by one clear central strike of 'ferro di cavallo' handstamp to cover from Palermo to Genova, despatch cds (Nov 9, 59) alongside. Reverse with Napoli transit (Nov. 10) cds and Genova arrival (Nov. 15) handstamp, both in red. Interesting and attractive, underpaid and therefore taxed, a very rare franking.
