    1749 (Sept 13): Entire letter from Naples to Lyon struck by the rare negative NAPOLI handstamp, introduced in 1743 at the French P.O. in Naples following the postal treaty between Naples and France of May 20, 1743, the first postmark in use in the later Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Very rare, a similar item from this correspondence is displayed in Sassone - Annullamenti (2021) on page 8.
