    Ballon monté 1870 (Nov 6): Entire letter carried on board of balloon no. 27 'La Gironde' to London, franked with Napoléon laureated 30 c. blackish brown, a fresh and fine example, tied by Étoile de Paris '12' obliterator with Paris Bd. Beaumarchais despatch cds as well as framed PD and "LONDON PAID NO 9 70" arrival cds, both in red alongside. An appealing entire to the United Kingdom Maury = € 500 + 200.
