    September cover 1870: Cover from Les Eaux Bonnes to Bayonne, bearing a mass franking of Napoléon laureated 1 c. green bronze in a horizontal strip of five and 2 c. red brown, type II in horizontal block of ten, fresh and fine multiples, tied by superb Gros Chiffres '1369' numeral lozenge, despatch cds (Sept. 28, 71) alongside. Reverse with arrival cds of the next day. An unbelievable combination to pay the new September 1871 letter rate of 25 centimes, a franking of utmost attractiveness, cert. E. Diena (1977).
