    1847, 1s. green used with 1841 2d. blue, plate 3, GK and GL, used on lettersheet from LONDON 12 Oct. 1849 to Paris, unusual combined postage rate showing different british and french weight steps: 5d. british 1st weight step plus 2 x 5d. = 10d. french 2nd. weight step plus 1d. Late fee = 1s.4d.(16d.), margins in places and age toned on reverse, but very interesting and a rare mixed franking, cert K. Louis BPP (2016), plus 1848, 10d. brown, cut to shape, used on much travelled entire with printed content from London 15 Febr. 1853 to Paris, variously re-addressed to Bordeaux, Castelnau-de-Medoc, Margaux, Bordeaux and Sainte-Foy-La-Grande, full of character!
