    1844, entire from London 24 Oct.1844 to Cologne, Rhenish Prussia, unusually routed via France (until 1846 Hamburgh was the normal route) and paid 10d. (british and french postage) to the egress of France, then taxed 4 1/2 sgr. prussian postage upon delivery in Cologne, with AUS ENGLAND/PORTO v. GIVET (Van der Linden fig. 256), very fresh.
