    1876: 2 pia. black and brown-yellow, 20 pa. green and purple (2) and 10 pa. black and mauve as 3 1/2 pa franking on registered mourning envelope from Constantinople to Boston, The stamps are all cancelled with the double circle "CONSTANTINOPLE /TURQUIE". The letter bears transit marks "LONDON", "LIVERPOOL" and "NEW-YORK". Blunted perfs on the 20 pa., very fine and unusual overseas usage of the Empire issue.
