    1893 (Oct 24): Registered cover from Samokov to Cairo, bearing 1882/85 Large Lion 10 st. rose (2) and 30 st. violett & light green tied by crisp bilingual SAMOKOV despatch cds in black, boxed registration handstamp alongside. Reverse with ALEXANDRIA transit and CAIRE arrival (25 XI 93) cds's. A rare, unusual and most attractive franking to pay the registered rate abroad with 25 st. postage and 25 st. registration fee.
