    Suez Canal Company 1868 (July): 20 c. blue, a used example with large margins on three sides and close at left, showing portions of adjoining stamp at right, used on 5 August 1868 entire letter from Lagaillarde & Jourdan in Suez to Ismailia, tied by circular (circa 30 mm.) lozenges handstamp in blue. Slight smudges to face panel away from adhesive, but just two Suez Canal Company covers are recorded with this immensely rare cancellation. Mentioned, but not illustrated, in Jean Boulad d'Humières, Ringström & Tester's 'Suez Canal Company' on page 100. Cover #21 in the census of the 21 known Suez Canal Company covers. Signed Ap. N.
