    1840: 1 d. black, plate 1a, an irregular block of eight, lettered EG-EL/FK-FL, margins on the strip large all round but crossed by file fold through EG, the block of four with tiny scissor cut in margin between the block, somewhat scuffed at lower left and margins touched at top of EK and on right side of FL, all cancelled by red Maltese Crosses and EL also cancelled by manuscript pen cross. Despite faults, a remarkable and dramatic piece. Cert. BPA (2019) Gi AS2 = £ 27'000+.
