Recess by Perkins Bacon 1854/57: Perkins Bacon (1 d.) dark grey on white paper, a used example with clear to good margins used on prepaid 1855 cover to Edinburgh tied by "1" numeral in black with fine "♚ / PAID / AT / TRINIDAD" in red adjacent and '5 d.' in red manuscript. London transit cds (4 Jan 1856) on front. Reverse with 'Trinidad' double arc (Dec 10) and single ring of same day in black and Edinburgh arrival in red.
