    Post offices in Macedonia 1854 (Aug 7): Entire Letter from Serres, Macedonia to Thessaloniki, struck with fine "SERRES AGO. 7" handstamp of the consular PO (Tchilinghirian fig. 616) in black. Reverse with "SALONICH 8. AOUT." (Tchlinghirian fig. 594) arrival datestamp. Vertical file fold, some staining, but an interesting and fine cover. In addition 1854 Entire letter despatched at the Ottoman PO in Serres and directed to Constantinople.
