    1872: Registered Envelope within Paris, bearing Cérès 1872 5 c. green in a horizontal strip of three showing variety: imperf. between first and second stamp, in mixed franking with Sage 25 c. black on rose, fresh and fine examples, tied by despatch "PARIS 68  ROCHECHOUART 28 MARS 91" cds, registration and postman's handstamp alongside. Reverse with Paris Distribution arrival cds of the next day. A rare combination with this variety, a late usage of the Cérès issue, correct franking with 15 c. for the postage and 25 c. registration surtaxe.
