    1869: Envelope with an insured value of 6'000 francs mailed from Lyon to Narbonne, bearing Napoléon laureated 5 fr. violet grey, two fine examples of this difficult stamp in mixed franking with Cérès 1872 80 c. rose, a single and a strip of three, all stamps with fresh colour and good perforation, tied by Gros Chiffres '6317' lozenge. Clear despatch "LYON LES BROTTEAUX 18 NOV. 73" cds and CHARGÉ in violet alongside. Reverse with timbre indicatif de chargement, ambulant and arrival cds's of the next day. Minor edge wear not distracting from the exceptional quality of a rare high value franking. Cert.
