    1842 (Jan31): Entire letter written from Bogotá, Colombia to London, placed in the post unpaid with oval framed "Carācas. / Debe." handstamp in black and manuscript '½' in red crayon (reales or ounce). Reverse with British P.O. LA GUAYRA double arc cds in red (March 5) and charged '2/3d.' to pay on arrival (May 10) and struck with circular 'L' for Late on front in red.
