    1855 (May 18): Entire letter from Curaçao to Dinan, France endorsed 'via Carthagena', carried via Medellin and mailed there with two strikes of oval MEDELLIN / FRANCA in black and prepaid to the the border with "1½" rate marking. British P.O. "CATHAGENA" on reverse in black and thence via London where framed "COLONES / &c. ART 13" applied in red. Paris cds on reverse (June 30) and charged '15' décimes handstruck in black. An unusual entire.
