    1905/09: 15 c. violet & black, a horizontal pair used on piece with "Isla de Pascua" (Easter Island) in manuscript tied by bold strike of NEW ISLAND cds (Feb 16, 1911). The stamps were applied by a a sailor on board the yawl "Pandora" which had travelled safely from Easter Island but had encountered problems while making for Hope Harbour. She was towed by a whaler the ten miles into New Island, West Falkland Islands, where she was repaired, leaving in March 1911 for St. Helena and then New York. Extremely rare with just on full cover recorded. Cert. S. Heijtz (2012).
