    International Postal Connections to Europe - Great Britain 1875 (Feb 17): Envelope from Smirna to London, endorsed "Via Trieste", franked with 1867 coarse whiskers 3 s. green and 10 s. blue in a horizontal pair, all cancelled by "SMIRNE 17 / 2" thimble cds in black (Tranmer fig. 10), with London arrival cds (March 8 1875) alongside. On front, manuscript '8' kreuzer in red crayon for onward postage beyond Prussia. Slight file folds but an attractive item.
