    1896/97: Bradbury Wilkinson engraved Die Proof for the 1 s. value with the adopted central vignette and frame in red and Duty Plates in violet (these somewhat doubled at base and at top) struck on greenish paper (33 x 38 mm.), from the retouched Die with the Lion shaded; pinholes at left and right sides but a rare and most unusual Proof.rnProvenance: Stanley Gibbons Ltd., London, 28-30 June 1978, lot 966.
